How does it function?
It’s easy! You can do it by dialing 171 and following the instructions of the interactive voice response, by sending an SMS with the code of the melody to the same number, by dialing 555*2*6#ok from your phone number or by accessing the site www.tonton.md.
Need some diversity? Then you can choose several active tones. They will be played randomly when somebody calls you, or you can choose different tones depending on who calls you.
More than that... You won’t get bored when calling your friends, either. Now you can surprise them by ordering for them a unique ring-back tone and enjoying it each time you call them.
You have four options to choose your tone!
1. Dial 171 for listening and ordering tones both for yourself and your friends.1
You can also add the ordered melodies to My tones (active tones for the moment, which can be set differently, depending on the one calling you) and Juke Box (several tones chosen by you, which will be played randomly when somebody calls you).
2. Dial 555*2*6#ok from your mobile phone to be able to do the following:
- order / cancel Ring-back tone service
- view the list of Your tones and set different tones for different numbers of those calling you to be included in Your friends option
- activate or cancel the option Melody of the day
3. Access the site www.tonton.md, then the window Login where you can enter your number and get an access password to the collection of tones and your account options. The password will be different each time you access the site. All the options, such as Top, Local, Russian, Foreign melodies, My Tones, Juke box, My friends (the list of friends for whom you set different ring-back tones), Service description can be accessed as soon as your autentification is complete.
4. Send an SMS message containing the code of the tone to the short number 171.
Validity period
The Ring-back tones are active during 30 days. On expiration, the validity term of the current tone will be automatically prolonged. Besides that, anytime you can change your current tone by a new one, add new tones to My tones or Juke box options or cancel the service and reset the standard ring-back tone.
In order to extend the validity term of the current tone, dial 171 and follow the vocal instructions, send an SMS with the code of the tone to the same number or dial *555*2*6#ok and access the option My tones. The validity term of the tone can be extended from the website, after receiving the password and accessing your account.
In order to cancel Ring-back tone service and reset the standard ring-back tone, dial 171 and choose the cancellation option, send an SMS containing the text „STOP” to the same number or dial *555*2*6#ok and choose Service cancellation.
Important! When a tone is canceled, the unused validity term is not reimbursed.
Tariffs
The tariffs for using Ring-back tone service are as follows:
1. Consulting of Ring-back tone menu (call to 171): 1.20 lei/min 2.
2. The navigation through the USSD menu (*555*2*6#ok) is free of charge.
3. The ordering of a new tone for you or for a friend of yours (purchase, extension or substitution by a new tone):
- Category 1 - 10 lei;
- Category 2 - 12 lei;
- Category 3 - 16 lei;
- Category 4 - 22 lei.
4. The price for Ring-back tone service cancellation is equal to the tariff of a national SMS. All prices are shown VAT inclusive.
1 Before initiating the call, make sure you have sufficient money in your account for navigating through the menu and activating the melody you will choose.
2 For Abonament Moldcell Flexibil subscribers, the call to 171 does not influence the charging thresholds.
