MD via SMS is a service developed by “MoldData” SE in collaboration with Moldcell. It is a service which helps you reserve a certain domain name in MD zone via SMS.
What does .MD via SMS service represent?
In order to use this service just send an SMS with the domain name you are interested in, spelled in Latin characters, to the number 4959. You will be immediately informed by an SMS about the successful reservation of the domain, in case it is free, and you will also receive a unique code valid for 10 days. In order to finish the registration, you need to access the site www.nic.md or visit “MoldData” office (Chisinau, 37/1 Armeneasca St).

The price of the messages sent to 4959 is equal to that of an ordinary SMS throughout

The name of the requested domain should contain no more than 63 symbols. It may include “-” symbol, but not at the beginning or at the end of the name. It is not necessary to write www or .md in the message.
